View Full Version : Floats
Rear float stuck today after racing a grand national, beat him, what causes this? I checked it, it\'s clean in there! I set the float \"again\" today, it will prob last 2-3 months and then prob stick again. How can I keep this from happening?

It sound like the needle and seat are sticking.I\'m assuming you have a holley though. I would rebuild it, a trick kit is about $30 bucks and comes with everything you need for gaskets and such, you can buy a float seperate if needed. Its real easy if you just remember where everthing goes. And if you want a different holley i got a rebuilt 600 in my garage and i would let it go pretty cheap. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

Holley makes a kit to fix the problem. On some models they had a problem under hard acceleration the rear float sticks. My model 4011 has the kit on it from the factory and I never stick the rear float. Go to their web site it\'s very informative.
i\'ll look into that, thanks
