right now i have 3 inch drop mono leafs, and 1 inch blocks.lakewood traction bars do theyre best to keep my pumpkin off the body.
but what my plans are, competition engeneering builds a set of slide a link.they bolt to the eye for the leaf and the platform for the rear end.then it acts as an adjustable ladder bar.they are under 330 from jegs or summit.
check em out. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif
this all sounds quite the same as what I have( my pics are not in yet i see) I actually took out the 3\"lowering blocks cause I wanted the stock truck effect

I have the slapper bars and stock 4X4 suspension with 4 leaves. I run 13.5@109. I cannot launch due to spinning. I have not tried a 4 link or other real suspension mods. I think that without drag tires and a decent burnout you will spin tires no matter what. My 2 cents.
you may be correct, Ive got a set of 295/50/15 comeing so Ill see what a difference it makes on the Gtech
My 60-foot time is not to good. Some of the time the tires will spin badly in first and/or second gear. My combination is as follows:
GENERAL
- 1.55 seconds average 60-foot times
- 10.70 second et
- 126 MPH in the 1/4 mile
- About 550 flywheel HP
- Truck lightened to 2650 pounds
- Turbo 350 with 4200 stall converter
- No trans brake
- Linelock burnout, 3,000 in first then 5,000 in second, hold about 6 seconds, power out tires will screech and bite before coming to the line.
FRONT
- Drag springs
- 90/10 drag shocks
- 4\" rims and tires
BACK
- Lowered 2\" with solid steel blocks
- 70/30 drag shocks
- Comp. Eng. Slide A Link traction bars
- Ford 9\" full spool
- Hooser, 30 /9.0/15 Radial
- Tire pressure set at 13 psi
- Battery and fuel cell in back of bed
I wonder how good a 60-foot time an S10 can get?
It would be great to find out what does and doesn\'t work.

WTF?? Your turning 1.5\"s for a 60 ft and your complaining??? Most of use are still in the 2.1 or worste range.

I made my own bar (single bar), I just submitted the pic but it is not there yet.
1.64 on bfg drag radials, was the best the dr would not hold a full throttle launch.
A friend did his s10 like this and he was getting 1.43-5 60ft with slicks running 10.40\'s.
I only ran a 10.82 at 122, but I have et streets now and will get back soon to try them out.
As soon as my pic shows up in the gallery I will post it.

To:ZZ4Blazer,
Without a four link I have seen s10 slips showing a 1.33 sixty foot time (running nitrous out of the hole, trans brake, power glide etc...). Of all the stock framed S10 at the track I am in the middle and of the serious S10s I am the slowest. Even when I smoke the tires off the line my 60 is never slower than 1.8. What set up do you have?

Still mostly stock. Drop leafs, 1\" block, Slapper bars, mini spool.
Still made all my runs (4 total) on street tires. Its a little harder launching my 6 speed vs my Th350.
I\'ve got a set of drag radials, haven\'t had a chance to use them yet. Im gonna step up to slicks as soon as I know my rear end wll hold it.
I might swap the rear this winter, and will probably look into some caltracs or something.
Im not that quick yet, but I know I\'ll run a lot quicker if I hook some. I should be in the low 13, maybe high 12 range. I\'d just like to see what kinda times I can turn, before I really start modifying the motor.

Take a look at my pics of my rear end setup. I built it all myself. I definitely hooks up. LOL. But its a lot of work.
