If i replace my fenders and hood with fiberglass panels, how much weight will i save? And do these fit good or do they need some minor trimming? http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif

you\'ll save about 45lbs with a fiberglass hood, guessing, 30lbs for both front fenders.

the flat fiberglass hood weighs 20lbs, the fenders weight 8lbs each.

the one piece front end weight is 35lbs, w/scoop is 40lbs

the hood weight is with pins, use of latch adds 8lbs or so.

And some thing im doing this week since i just got my plasma cutter http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif

cut out supports in fenders -10lbs?

make swiss chese out of frame behind rear axle (no structural support besides bumper) -30lbs?

remove bed floor and cut out the shapes that are in side walls of bed and install higher gauge sheet metal. -50lbs?

move battery to rear and move gas tank further back. for beter weight ratio
