Just got my Holley high rise intake in the mail, and it got me thinking. Is this going to cause clearance problems? I cant just bolt it in and test it because I havent dropped the motor in yet. Just need to know if I have to go get a 2 inch cowl now or not. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif

What kind of intake did you get? And what type of motor mounts are you gonna use? I have the TD mounts and a edelbrock performer RPM intake with a 1 inch spacer and mine fits under the stock hood with a 2 inch aircleaner.

I changed from a Performer intake to an AirGap type and it caused problems. I ended up cutting a hole in the hood and a 2\" cowl probably won\'t cover it either.

i have the TD plates with a wieland stealth with a 1 inch spacer and the top of my carb hit the bottom of the hood. so i bought a 5 inch cowl hood with a 5\" tall KN filter

Wow... Im using the TD plates too. I guess it is going to cause problems then, huh. Do you think a 2 inch cowl hood would do the trick? Probably shouldnt buy one until I see how bad it hits, but I think its too much for just a drop base air cleaner to work. Thanks guys. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_frown.gif

I don\'t think a stealth is taller than my RPM and i run a 2 inch aircleaner and its not even a drop type. I wonder why mine fits. It rubbs very little but still fits. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif
