i got a 350 in a 2.3 86 ext cab and i bought the truck with the 350 in it and when the guy thru it in......he had to bang up the floorboard right under the firewall to get it in.....whats with that

Apparently he made his own motor mounts or used some of the ones out there that don\'t work too well. Some of the mounts on the market cause the motor to sit too high. If you want to lower it to the proper height try the Stealth mounts on this website. You will also need 2.8 frame mounts and isolators. Good Luck

i have the stealth mounts and i still had to \"pursuade\" the firewall quite a bit for the clearance. i also used 2.5\" pipes instead of the 2\" collectors that came with the headers.

i had to \"adjust\" the front of the floor on the pasager side to have more room for the header collector but the trans fit fine

The Td performance kits tell you bang the floor up 3-4 inches....mine had to be taken up about 5, and the tabs on the sides of the tranny had to be cut off. but no mods had to be done for the headers.

yea.......the guy made his own....what he did was welded 2 steel plates on top of the holes on the frame and them welded a tube between the steel pieces for a bolt to come thru.......talk abt some riggin......the eletrical on my truck is all rigged too
