just saw it and started salivating. my first dream car was a \'69 camaro wish i could afford this and the garage to put it in. but if i spent that much money on a car i\'d have to live in it.

For 125 large you could have the badest S10 in your state, a brand new Chevy 3500 Duramax Diesel to tow it with and an enclosed aluminum Featherlite trailer to haul it to and from the track/shows in. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

yeah but it wouldn\'t be a 69 camaro.
but if i was gonna do that i\'d have a 2003 2dr extreme blazer with a 383 stroker ls1 and i\'d pay someone else to put it all in. but i wont have an extra 125k any time soon.

Well 125 might sounfd like alot, but it would be worth every penny. For those too young to truely know what this car is, it a shame. For those of us old enough to remember these when they were new,it a shame we couldn\'t afford one then. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_frown.gif
If I had the money I wouldn\'t hesate a minnute. It\'s only going to get worth more.

Yeah those things are so rare. Especially with that thing being restored will all OEM spec stuff. love those 427\'s.... 425hp? Hah! more like 550+. I remember reading a magazine that did a dyno test on one and it made like 515hp to the rear wheels.

Well, I could sell my house to buy it, but I think my wife and kids would get really ticked off at me.

if i wasn\'t a poor college student i\'d buy it, but i am a poor college student so the most i can hope for is one day when i have extra time and money find me a nice 67-69 camaro to tinker with. or a split bumber 70 ss.

here\'s the thing......IT\'S NOT A ZL1!!! You guys are thinking it\'s the all pwerfull ZL1, which is the all aluminum block/heads, 13to1 compression COPO supercar. This car has the regular 425hp iron head engine...which is nice, but not $125,000 nice. Sorry to burst the bubble.

And yes, Knanthrup, they did test the ZL1 camaro, 515 hp stock, then they changed a new intake, carb, and headers, then tested it again.....over 600hp!!! Just shows you how far it\'s gone.....

No, it\'s not a ZL1. They will fetch quite a bit more than $125k at certain auctions!
my neighbor has a blown 502 69 z-28, i got my senior pics taken with it. hugger orange white stripes, i get a woody just sitting in it!!!

I think about the numbers matching, all original \'69 Z/28 I could have bought for $1500 25 years ago. What the same car would be worth today makes me ill to think about it.

And here\'s one for thought: The new Z06 Corvette\'s are rated at 405hp by the modern SAE rating system. I haven\'t actually seen anyone try it but if they were to dyno it by the old system used in 1969, the LS6 5.7 would probably be over 500hp! The new system is more realistic though. Kinda sad to think that some of the big block monsters I had back then really only put out less than 300hp by today\'s standards. Oh well.

That might sound like a lot but for that car it is not that bad. If someone was able and willing they could pay the 125k put it in a garage for ten years and double their money no problem. The sad thing is if I had the money I wouldn\'t have to think twice about it.
Thanks Aaron
