Mounts question

I\'m a new member o your community. So hello. I have an 89 s10 with the stock 2.5(tech4) and the stock auto tranny. I have a 350 and plan on installing it as soon as possible. However I dont know what to do about the engine mounts. I have heard that the 350 will bolt right to the 2.5 frame mounts but find it hard to believe. Also I\'ve heard that the engine would bolt to the tranny without mods. So my question to yall is were do I start and what parts do I need.

Smallblock will not bolt to your 2.5 frame mounts. Most people get the 2.8 frame mounts and bolt them to there frame then use the stealth conversion mounts from the parts store, parts.s10v8.com.



As for your transmission, no. the smallblock won\'t bolt up to your stock 2.5 transmission either, and even if it did it woudn\'t hold up at all.



This is where you start, asking questions and clearing up any wrong information that you have heard, there is alot of misinformed people out there and this is a great place to clear up the confusion.

Short answer: you need the 2.8 mounts and Stealth adapters (look here in the parts section) and there is almost no way to adapt the stock automatic to your 350, and it wouldn\'t last if you could. Welcome aboard.
