Pinion bearing replacement should be left to the pros. It requires crush shims to adjust the meshing of the ring and pinion gears after re-assembly. It\'s best to get someone with lots of experience because it\'s not an exact science setting up rear ends. The thickness of the shims change once the pinion is tightened crushing the shims. Just my 2 cents.

Its not that hard, but time consuming, i just picked up a solid spacer to replace the crush sleeve on the pinion in my bird, stops the pinion from walking up the gear, good insurance to do if your makeing some power. If you never took a rearend apart, then i would take it somewhere.
