What would be the best wheel size to get my s10 to hook up the best. It\'s a 85 with a 383 pushing about 450hp at the wheels. Im just not sure what would work the best. thanks for any help.

Whatever fits under the front, something like a 225/50/15 and 295/50/15 on rear. Thats not what I\'m running (thats my next set). Right now I\'ve got 225/60/15 front and 275/60/15 rear. Check out my pics...

P.S. You\'re not running 14s are you?

I don\'t have anything on it yet. It\'s sitting on stands with no bed on it yet. Im waiting to find a set of wheels to put on it so i can tub out the bed.

I think that maybe 10\" tires would work. The only thing that will hook is some drag tires. Radials or slicks.

I have 165r15 on the front and 28 12.5 15 et streets on the rear, and it won\'t hook unless they have 10 psi in them.

How well do they hook up? Would you go bigger?

well I have 18x10.5\'s out back and no frame work they barely get under the truck and dont poke out any so it dosent look vato. of course they are vette Z06 wheels. 255/40/17 up front and 295/30/18 out back, I can put up to a 335 on the rear wheels but I woudl have to move the frame rails in at that point and I cant afford it right now btu the next set will be that size.

Whats the backspace on the 15x10 rims?

If you have a 2WD the backspacing is like 4\" and on 4wd the backspacing is 6\". If you want to have some fat tires, then add 1\" to the backspacing.

Yeah, stick with a 15\" wheel if you\'re gonna be using performance tires. Really easy to find slicks and DR\'s in 15\" and also cheaper

for a 15x8\" rim, run 4.5\" bs.

for 15x10, 5.5\" bs.
