I have a 1991 Chevy S-10 Cameo EL. I have heard that the Cameo EL was supposed to be turned into Chevy\'s answer to the GMC Syclone, I would like to know if this is true and if it is true does anyone know why they didn\'t follow through with it? Thank you for your time and inputs

How about posting a couple of pics or letting us know about the features of the truck.

Only in looks sir. The GMC division was the one that got the perfomance trucks for some reason. Chevy had the SS454 and GMC was playing with but never followed thru with a 502 truck.

Yep, not much work.

Seriously though I\'d like to see pics of it.

I am a chevy man but chevy has had trouble answering to any other companys. Even their sister company. They have relied on the camaro and corvette to out run the competition. But times are changing. The GMC syclone and Typhoon was inspired by the Buick grandnational with a 4.0L engine and a turbo. I believe until recently with the new Viper the syclone was the fastest (In 1/4 mile time i think) production vehicle ever made in the U.S. I want to know when chevy is going to answer to the Ford Lightning. That truck is straight up bad. The new chevy SS doesn\'t even come close. And the SSR is not the answer. For $41,000:0-60 in 7.9, 1/4 15.90. And that\'s with a Ls6 powerplant. Come on GM, let\'s do something!!!
