My buddies 2.2 slownoma

Buddy is having an issue that I\'d appreciate some help on. Car wont start, doesnt sputter, or try to crank. Its intermittant, sometiems works, sometimes doesnt. Pulled 2 codes, crank position sensor, and camshaft position sensor. We can pushstart it just fine, just wont start on its own. Replaced the crank position sensor which killed both the codes. No codes now but doing the same thing. Gets erratic spark at the plug, but the plug wires are fairly new, and just did both coil packs. No luck. HELP!

electronics, maybe a lose battery cable, bad connections on the battery, Bad clutch switch.

Clutch switch good, everything to do with battery fine, starter fine.

It might be the fuel pump. My friends jeep\'s fuel pump went out and it acted similar to that. If you have an electric pump turn off your radio, air, or anything that can make a noise. Turn your key but don\'t try to start the truck. You should hear a noise for about 2 seconds. That should be your fuel pump pumping fuel. If unsure of noise of a fuel pump get in any late model car and listen. My friends jeep had similar problems and it was the fuel pump. If it is the fuel pump it\'s probably in the gas tank. It would be easier for him to drop a big block into a Geo Metro than changing the fuel pump. But whatever he decides good luck.

Yeah its an in-tank, Ive changed them on a full size before, not terrible. But the pump is priming just fine, I dont get it.
