I have the 4L60e from my 98. I want to rebuild it and saw this rebuild kit. I don\'t know if it is a high performance. It will need to be able to handle 450hp with the possiblity of an addittion of 100+ HP. I probably will go with the kit with the TQ converter.

If anybody knows of any other kits please tell me.

I am in a similar boat, but I want to rebuild my TH400. I have been researching for a week and I would not get the kit from a compnay\'s store, but buy it on Ebay. You can find kits for much less with instructions, whch do not come with what you are looking at. Also you need to get some upgrades for the tranny that are included in the October issue of Car Craft.

Jet has a pretty good reputation. Don\'t personnally have any experience with their trans rebuild kits. If they listed what components they include and the manufacturers of the discs, etc. it would be more helpful. I would look for a better price as speeder recommended. The 87 and later trans are better as a base as the link says.
