Ok In my rear end post i mentioned about putting a 14 Bolt full floater in my truck. I know my driveshaft would need to be shortened and have the proper yoke put on. But where can i take it to get done. Its obviously not something you take to midas to get. what type of shop can do this.

Drive Shaft specialty shops do this work. Look in business section of phone book. They will ask what length is required. Consider correct yokeshaft-into-tranny travel allowance. A good shop will guarantee their welds and balance. Goodluck.

Very true what Fergusonic said. But if you have the drive shaft from the new rear end and the one from youre s10 you can do the work youre self if you are careful and make mark\'s and measure and keep everything in line all you need is a chop saw and a good welder and it can be done.I changed my yoke and shortened my drive shaft on my own and it came out fine i just kept everything in line and made nice eaven cuts and it went ok.The U joint took care of any small amount of miss alignment i had and i didnt get any vibration out of it and it has held together up to 105 mph.But if you are unsure of youre self than a specialty shop would be the way to go.
