The whole idea is disgusting.

I should buy it and put the motor in my RV, where it belongs. Then put a real engine in the pickup. Better yet, I could take it to the junk yard next time I\'m working there. We have a real cool machine that it would look good in.

Y\'all need to shutup. Let the man do what he wants. It\'s his money. It\'s a nice truck and probably will haul the groceries. He probably got a killer deal on the engine.



I love chevy and consider them the best and will always stick with them when I build a motor. But lately It seems ford has been at the top of the game. I wouldn\'t mind having ford blown lightning motor in my truck. But I don\'t have the money to do that. That guy did though.

it look\'s nice...grandpa(70 year\'s old)told me that if a 454 chevy and a 460 ford where built using the same part\'s...roller cam ..compression...etc...that the ford will run ciciles around the chevy...but people use the chevy cause of the price difference and part\'s being availabaly....the fastes street car i ever had ..(i never had it at the track)but i could tell it was fast...but it was a 1982 mustang with a 460 in it...with a 3200 stall and a c6 tranny...and 3.73 gears...i totaly exploded the 7.5 inch rear within 1 mile...so i got a 1988 parts cars and changed the whole thing ..ground affects and all...the 8.8 had wippy 2.73 gears ...but was ungoddly fast...i moved out of state and had to sell it....if i was to build another hot rod ...it would be a big block ford muctang....cause there is swap headers and mounts for it...and just face it ...big cubes like the 460 ford ..are just plain power house\'s...

The lightning motor isnt a 460, its a 5.4liter triton motor.

I love my chevy\'s, but have to agree that a 460 Mustang is awesome. My friend has one with a fairly stock 460 in it and it frigging moves. Mash the gas from a roll-on and it doesn\'t even downshift, it just goes.

im was only saying that ..the ford 460 and 429 are just as bad ass motor as the chevy 454 and 427....i know several people who have 460\'s and they run the heck out of them....the 460 was never meant to be hot rodded...it was for towing ....the 429 and the 429 cj..where built for one thing ...that was ti kill chevy\'s and mopar\'s of the time...than people said hey lets put these cj heads and stroke this 427 to a 460 and see what happens...the 460 has a 3.85 stroke...with a huge factory bore...every part of the 460 ford ..even from the factory are built heavy duty...any way...both the 454 and the 460 \'s are bad to the bone...heck they both even have the same exaust bolt patteren...

I know that the ford lightning motor is not a 460. I was just saying I wouldn\'t mind putting a Ford (Yes I said the curse word FORD) motor into my GM built truck body.



I\'m going to be blunt.

Ford is kicking ass right now in the performance market. The cobra is hanging with the SS camaro and corvette. The lightning can hang with the Camaro and Corvette.



I ran against a lighting that ran a 12.5. Most run in the mid 13s. Which is what a corvette runs. And Chevy has yet to answer the lightning with a truck. With the camaro history the vette is all alone. The only thing holding Gm\'s legacy is the Z06 vette.



There is not one thing wrong with a ford motor in a chevy. I think it is kind of cool. I would like to see a Euro 8 in a s10. I would really like to see someone drop in a viper motor. That would be sick.



Sorry I went on so long but I can\'t stand this Chevy is better than Ford (Visa-versa) Crap. It has gone on long enough. We have more important things to worry about. Like introducintg v8 s10s to the people of Iraq!

At least he painted it orange. Back in the early 80\'s I had a 70 Mustang with a stock 351 cleavland motor. 140,000 miles when I got it. Never lost a street race.

Grow up. I am on the right website. I have a s10 and I am building it right now. Maybe no one should of posted that truck in the first place. That isn\'t a s10.

Yeah your right.

I guess some people are so stuck in their roots they\'ll never get out. I use to think Chevy was the best thing in the world when I was younger and easily influenced by my grandpa and my dad.



I use to think Ford sucked. But I finally grew up. And I agree a chevy motor is 1000x easier and cheaper to build than a ford. Which is why I got my chevy truck. But lately ford has been getting pretty fast.

your the man skooter, im just angry that i come to this website to look at general motors products only and hear about all this ford stuff. the main reason i come here because we all have s-10 or s-10 blazers like myself and it feels good to be with my own kind. plus i dident actually mean that i wanted to shoot you.... just that i dident believe in your ideas. for the record i would drive a 30\'s ford coupe as long as it was powered by a chevrolet engine. also the reason i have such a hatred for fords is that i have had really bad experences with them. and decided to kick them to the curb. anyway i would apreciate it if we dident talk about fords and spend all our freetime talkin trash to those import boys....... can i get an amen!!!
