Im thinking about putting a tci Powerglide Tranny in my truck this winter with a 4000stall tci tourqe converter.So my question is because i normaly just drag the car can i still drive it on the street maybe for a little cruise with that powerglide tranny?

You can do whatever your heart desires http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif from what i hear you will be stuck in first gear 90% of the time! Probably up until about 60MPH maybe even a little higher. Depends on your gears and tire size too of course.

i had a powerglide in a 64 impala i loved it with it floored i went 65mph in first but normal driving it shifted close to 35 or 40 it was perfect id like to put one in the next s10 i build

if you were mainly dragracing your truck and it weighs less than 3000lbs.i would say go for it,you will need more gear out back to make it really benefit you,like 4:56-4:88\'s with 28\" tires,it will run hard but cruzin will SUCK!!!!!! http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif

Hi yes i thought about putting 4.54 gears in my 12bolt.I dont know what tires i should run on the street.On the drag im driving 28x10.0-15.And the other thing is i dont wanne drive the car 100miles around on the street.Maybe a little cruise to the track here in my town or a little cruise to burger king and hang out with friends.So that should be ok.hm.
