riotpolice75, them tater guns you got, what design did you use? Ive been making em for a while using both propane and hair spray and have moved on to compressed air.

i got 2 of em. a 10 footer with a 1 1\\2 7 foot barrel and a 7 footer with a 2\'\' 5 foot barrel. both of em are made out of pvc. both the chambers are made out of 4\" pvc and i use arm and hammer aerosol deodorant to shoot them. its a hell of alot cleaner than hairspray and it smells alot better. the barrel on the 10 footer is so big it makes almost no sound when you fire it. all you hear is the sound of the air comin out after the potato or whatever i might be shooting, no boom, no nothin. the 7 footer on the other hand makes a big boom when you shoot it and itll leave a 2 foot flame out the barrel after the potato. itll lob a potato at least a quarter mile. the 10 footer falls a little short of that.



if you dont know, ill teach you a few tricks. take a piece of steel wool (the non soapy kind) and jam it in the back of the potato. put it down the barrel and shoot it. the flame from the depdorant will ignite the steel wool and give you a real nice tracer effect at night. another truck is to get a piece of paper towel and use it as wadding. then get either cherry tomatoes or crab apples and put a whole bunch of em in the barrel. makes an awesome shotgun. the stop sign at the top of the street is a testament to how well it works.

also i every one of em i make (about 20 of em at this point) i make with a removable barrel. it makes it 10x easier to load it that way.

The map would be a good Idea. I\'ll see if I can make one. But how far should it expand? I know there are plenty in canada.



I don\'t know about y\'all but I think a tater gun is kind of dull. Try this. Take a big STRONG metal tube, a loggers chain, some wheels, and 1/2 pound or more of black powder and see some real fun. A little noisy though.



And at 4 in the mornin I won\'t be home. I\'ll still be out partying for a couple of more hours. Check at 8am. I should be home or in jail by then.

Combustion style cannons are good, they have a very good bang and easy to make. MY personal favorite is the \"air cannon\" style. These use usually 3 or 4 inch PVC pumped to 100psi air then its connected to a large ball valve that is spring loaded (it must open as fast as possible) then connected to a screw on barrel.



On mine, I use rain bird electric sprinkler valves. Connect it to a low current 24 volt source (3 9 volt batteries in series works great) to fire it. Ive used both side by side and found compressed air to be much more powerful. This past summer I made one that fired a D-cell battery through a 4 inch thick solid cement block.



Never tried the steel wool idea, will give that a try tonight.



Biggest downside of air is the fact you must have an air source available. One of my CO2 tanks with a regulator from my paintball setup works great.

Back to the subject of the map I made one. I haven\'t figured out how to get everyone on there but have some ideas. Tell me if your interested.



It features a map of the U.S. and it\'s states. There are no names of states or cities. All it consists of is state borders and a dot of the area where the person is located. I put mine on and it gives a decent Idea of locations.



The only problem is I don\'t know how to put it on this website. Maybe someone can tell me how to.

Not a bad idea. It\'s sometimes hard to find people in your area. I\'ve seen a few sites with the feature. Or in a more simple version you could just have an area specific part to the forum with each state and then ppl could post their location inside the state.

This is not a site I have. It is a map I took and put on paint. It is saved on my computer.



I just wanted to show people what I have done and see what they think. Maybe someone can improve on It. I could also get pictures of seperate states that would be a little more specific but not too specific. And I also got a map of Canada. If there is a way I could Email it to this site that would help.



When you see the map you will understand.
