95 (newer) trucks with H.O 4.3 (l35 option) and with the 5 speed tranny., be hard to find but best one that will bolt directly in .

Almost completely right. You will have to shorten your driveshaft, bout 1 or 2.Other than that, its a bolt in. Try looking on some internet junkyards, and have them search your area. Or find a reputable one in your area, and have them put it on a locator for you. BTW, they only came in those trucks,(its been rumored that the new ZR2 offroad package comes with a 8.5, but I know for a fact that those rear ends are 8\" wider than a 2wd truck, and 4\" wider than a standard 4x4 rear) and with a factory locker and 3.08 gears.

Good luck finding one. I had a very good local junkyard search all over America for one and they couldn\'t locate any. I finally gave up and bought a 9\".

originally the 9\" was a Ford design. I got mine from Currie. It cost me $2435.78 but I added a few upgrades over a stock rebuild.
