change fuel pump

So, I take it that when I do my conversion on my 2002 xtreme v6 auto to Corvette LT 4/ auto; that I have to change fuel pumps in the gas tank. If this is true, which is the easiest way to change it: drop the tank or lift the bed?

i believe you can use the same pump. usually you have to change if you are swaping a fuel injected truck to a carb motor. this is just because carburators require a lot less fuel pressure than fuel injection. 5-7 psi carb. i think around 40psi fuel inj.

Take the bed off it is a lot easier.

Put a gauge on your stocker before you start tearing the truck a part. That LT4 should need at least 40 psi. My buddy has his bolt-on, LT1, set with a regulator at 47 psi.
