Hey All,

The stupid clip / spring thing that holds the cable into the engagement mechanism on the front differential on my 85 S10 4x4 blazer v/87 350 TPI in it is worn out.

It won\'t hold the cable in anymore, chilton\'s manual says it should hold it but it doesn\'t, where could I get a replacement or what are the options?

Also is there a guide anywhere for the AWD conversion?

Thanks,

Bob

I\'m confused, are you Bob or not?

Have you tried a ddealer for the clip?

Fasrnur is great at finding parts, may see what he can do for you.

Sorry to put you on the spot fasrnur.

Hey no problem Mike, don\'t forget that IS my job after all. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif Sir I believe the part you are refering to is part of the axle tube? If so then you can switch the right hand tube without any problem.

Like Mike said I sell parts at a salvage yard and should be able to help if you\'d like.

Jeff....

P.S. Mike did you get your speedo gear to quit leaking?

Front diff on my 85 has a black plastic tube with 3 bolts securing it that the shift cable goes inside, the tube is fine, but when you pull that off you find the tube that sticks out from the diff where the shift cable plugs in to to engage the front diff.

Theres like a spring that clips that cable to the tube from the diff, thats the bit I\'m looking for.

I could try to take a pic.

I think I know what you\'re refering to sir. I just checked and we sell the whole front diff for $75 plus shipping if you need the complete thing. If you take a picture and send it to at fasrnur@hotmail.com I could see if we have anything here at work.

My diff works, I literally just need the spring the holds the cable into the tube, my spring is warn out.

According to my chiltons when you put the cable in there it should \"hold it\", so that it\'s difficult to pull it out, but mine does not grip at all, due to the warn out spring.
