Can some one tell me how to wire up a switch to manualy lock up the converter in my truck. The tranny is of course a 700r4 and am taking out the comp and need to know the ins and outs of hooking and using a manual switch for the converter. What do I need and how do i do it.? Color of wires to hhook to would help too .

Summit Racing use to have a selonoid/switch kit for non-computer use. I bought one a few years back....comes with instructions etc. I didn\'t see it in their on-line catalog; so you might have to call them.

B&M and TCI both make them too.

Hey,
All the other posts talk about buying just a hook up for it. I did all mine, by myself. Took less that 30 min, and it locks up to my plesure(well, its automatic lock up, but you can easily wire it to a switch). A quick overview is you use a single-pin connecter from a TH 400(the piece that screws into the tranny, the 700R4 has a 4 pin), cut 3 wires in the tranny pan, install a brake cancel switch, and in my case install a low vacuum switch for automatic lockup, or in your case, a manual switch. If you want the whole story on how i did it, just e-mail me at fathead_03@hotmail.com
