Will a body lift affect my ability to swap in a v8. I have a 2wd 99\' with a 3in suspension lift but I want more. Has anyone done this? I already have a stiffer front spring to account for the added weight of the 350. I would rather do this than flip the rear axle and put lift spindles on the front. Any suggestions?

If raising it is the way you want to go then Ya go for a 3\" body lift. In my 4x4 Blazer the body lift helped out with engine / bell housing clearances. Also it allowed me to run the driver side exhaust between floorboard and above the driveshaft. Before the exhaust mods, the left side pipe crossed under the tranny. It was pittiful. The whole driver side exhaust had to be removed in order to drop tranny for clutch re-replacement.
Body lift is definitley an inexpensive way to go UP.
