Just picked up 350 TBI out of 94 full size blazer. It had a 4L80E and I want to put 700R4 behind it. Can I use my ECM and just change the chip for a model without E trans. or what do I need to do? I have a 4.3 90 S10 blazer 4X4. Anyone help?

GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!i have the 700r4 from my 4.3 in my 2wd blazer, highly modified now but it works well http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif you did not state if you had a tbi,4.3 in your truck,if you do i used a chip from a 1989 police,caphttp://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/smileJap.gif w/tbi...if you have the cpi injected 4.3,not sure of the chip to use,but check out performance resources, they have done the chips on my camaros for 12 years,0-failure... http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif

That truck only had a 350 with the 4L80E? Thats the heavier duty version. I thought they only came behind the bigger motors?

yeah it should have been a 4L60E not the 4L80E but i\'d go with the 700r4 presonally it\'s easier to adjust the shjift points with it because of the kickdown cable instead of the electronic trans
