I am about to drop a 350 in my s truck and i was wondering if i should change my front springs, right now i have 3\" drop springs for a 2.5L. i also have a set of nitro shocks from ground force on the truck now.

when i installed my 350 w/stock 2.5 front end it lowered it a good 2-3 inches so you may want to put stock spring back in. also a friends truck the previous owner cut the front springs to lower it and the headers hit the control arm, because this raised the upper control arm up in the wheel well we put higher springs on it and it was fine. you may want to compare your control arm angels to a stock truck
I DID NOT CHANGE MY SPRINGS OUT NO PROBLEM AT ALL COULD NOT TELL A DIFFERENCE IN THE FRONT STANCE OF MY S10 BLAZER. YOUR STOCK SPRINGS WILL HANDLE THE WEIGHT. NOT MUCH DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE WEIGHT OF THE MOTORS

I had the 4.3 in mine when I lowered it. Then did the V8 swap. Didn\'t drop at all.
