Ok, just about done edgin my truck out, tore her all down, paintin the firewall and inner fenders same as exterior, painted the jams, and pulled the bed to get it all straight. Shes gettin painted Victory Red as soon as I get some goodies installed on the engine. I think its gonna look really good with the red, but, Ive decided to go ahead and flame her. Trouble is, I cant decide on the colors for the flames, or to do em solid, or open kind of like a ghost flame. Ive seen a few done with the white/yellow/orange combo, but the ones I seen looked kind of cheap. Anybody got any ideas for me on the subject, or maybe even a pic or two to help me decide? Any help would be appreciated...

I\'m partial to the body color layered flame look. You can do any style flame you want, in a different color than the base, then you go over the flames with another set of body color flames. It keeps you from having to paint the front of the truck and the grille area and bumper the same color as the flames. This might be a little confusing (it\'s kinda hard to explain) so check out 39WOW\'s truck on this site. He has an orange truck with purple flames and then a set of orange flames overlapping the purple ones.

well I am going to make the flames look like they are tearing off the frount of the truck and then on the bed I will have a checkered flag turning into more flames and the flames will be multi colored with blue orange then yellow.

You said you like the ghost flames, why not do them in a red pearl over the base coat and then through down the clear. This might not be too bad.
