Good news, I bought a set of heads for my big block. they are world merlin 2s, with a full port job done ($1200), raised runners, and ferea valves. The only bad part is they were used in a boat so there is a small crack in one of the intake runners, which i am going to weld.

I got them for $300. I couldnt even have bought the valves for that! Im also getting the raised runner intake for $200.

Also im going to bore my block .100\" this weekend, and ordering my pistons (hyperutectic 10.6:1). My crank is getting turned this week too.

Ill probobly wait on the cam, havent decided yet. I know im going to go with a pretty big solid roller (around 255-260dur@.050).

I cant wait. This setup should make over 600hp.

oh if anyone wants to buy my sb headers and mounts, give me a pm, only used a week.

kool...another big block truck...you will get really excitied when it\'s sittin in the bay...are you going to use header\'s or manifold\'s..once people relize that the big block swap is not really harder than the small block ..there will be more of them showing up

wow, that thing will be a beast. the merlins are great heads and with the port job they\'re going to flow like crazy. now you just need a good cam to give it personality

im going to build a set of headers that go outside the frame-i think this will be easier since the big tubes arent going to fit inside the frame.
