you don\'t have to do any. you can add heavy duty shocks to help it out, but nothing is needed.

id recomend checking over the suspention and steering make sure nothing is worn out good set of shocks is a good idea as far as what springs depends on how low you want the truck and what engine you had i had a 4cly and it lowered it about 3 inches but most 4.3 springs dont relly lower much

Mine dropped about an inch with the stock 4cly springs. Still nice and stiff though, gas shocks and a hugh sway bar added though. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif

My truck had a 1.9 and when i sat the motor in the front bumper just about hit the ground so I swapped a set of 2.8 extended cab springs and not it back up to stock height.

it depends on what stance you want.i got a 83 gmc xcab w/350/700r4 in mine with airride and it handles great.i get 7 inches of lift.you can get drop coils from aim industries for 39$ and spindles for around 99$. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif

Just keep this in mind too. When you add the weight to the front, things tend to wear out faster. Im going through this right now with mine. The shims have compeltely worn out in the controll arms and the breaks and shocks are starting to act kinda funny. Im workin on replacing this stuff cause if i dont it\'s gonna hurt me on the launch by not letting the front travel.
