im not worried about lining up cause i have to make custom brackets due to a different size water pump. But im worried if it will still make enough voltage?
And the original one is the old style and a voltage regulator is needed, it doesnt have one built in it....

Sorry this was ment to be a reply to my previous question... Basically i wanted to know if the alternator off my 2.5 will still charge the battery when put on my 406 sbc? I dont know if the 406 will spin it slower or what?

it should still charge it fine i would imagine unless you have any thing else making a large drain sterio or something i wouldnt worry about it

it should be fine unless you add all kinds of power using stuff to the truck ,the alts on these trucks are good
