is it bad or good to remove the fender wells in the front.. im thinkin it would be good to let more air into the engine to cool it down.. whats the pros and cons

one con is it looks like crap, don\'t hack up your truck.

another con is you have less protection, debres in the engine compartment is bad.

hit a nice rock and have a good size dent in the hood.

as far as more air, there are far better ways to cool the engine.

i wasnt gonna hack it as in cut them off. i was gonna take the bolts out. im goin on a 2 hour drive tommorow and my truck over heats after awhile.... just figured i could take them off for the day. then put them on the next day

my buddies one s10 had no fender wells it does help cooling but his was more of a show truck so it ment more cleaning also plus remember the stock battery tray mounts to the fender well so that will need to be reinforced not worth the trouble for 1 day probably

the battery tray is not not not affected at all,,,..i have no fender wells in mine and i have done nothing to the tray... http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

my mistake the tray does bolt to the fender and core support and fender well so one bolt short wouldnt matter
