Well my friend is willing to give me a 400 turbo and or a oldsmobile 350 tranny... Now i heard that Buick, GM, oldsmobile and pontiac used same tranny set ups. This truee? I never knew oldsmobile, buick made a 350 tranny..... Looking for a 350 tranny with 9 inch shaft to install in my 88 s-10 with a 406.

The difference is the bell housing bolt pattern. i.e. the BOP tranny will not bolt up to a Chevy engine and vice versa. (Well they will bolt up but only two holes align.) The internals are the same. Some Olds came with Chevy engines so find out what it was attached to in its previous life.

Yes b.o.p. had th350s. They won\'t bolt up to a sbc. you can buy a b.o.p. adapter plate for like $54 from jegs and then it will work fine!

some have both bolt patterns
