Transfer Case

Well I have a few options I\'m looking at here. I have the 5 speed in my truck now with 4x4. I have a 700R i\'m going to swap in, but I can\'t find an adapter to go from the 700r to my t-case that doesn\'t cost me an arm and a leg. Then I\'d still be left finding out how to attach my 4x4 shift lever since it attaches to the side of my 5 speed transmission, and there doesn\'t appear to be the same setup on the 700r. Is it a lot of work to just switch to an electronic shift 4x4?

Go find an olds bravada with an auto and AWD. Its got the same adapter. Also, go to a yard and find an s10 that was auto with 4X4, it will also have the adapter you need.



Your 4x4 T5, what are you going to do with it?

It\'s an NV3500, I\'m going to sell it to a friend. He keeps bugging me to get the auto in so he can get the 5 speed.

Oh. If it were a T5, I would highly consider offering you something for it. Since its an NV3500, the truck of that year is going to be computer controled. I would suggest getting the 4L60E for that year model and computer for matched performance and drivability. The cam is matched to the TC for an auto and im prettu sure that a manual and auto engine will be tuned differently.
