T-350 tranny cutting questions

I have a T-350 and I know you have to cut the lip off of both sides so the exhaust can clear it, but also there is another tab sticking out on the passenger side that looks like it would hit the exhaust also, the tab is for lifting or something, it has a hole in it and its about half inch thick, do I have to cut that off too?

i would bolt the motor and tranny together on the floor and bolt on the headers and see if you\'d have enough clearence before cutting the tabs off.

That would be a good idea, just to make sure that your not cutting off the hole that the stud on the motor goes into.
