94 S10 Towing Capabilities?

I was wondering how much can I safely tow with a 94 S10 V6/Auto with overdrive?

The wife and I pull our 18\' I/O open bow boat that wieghs in at around 2500 or so without any problems with a 95 4 door Blazer with the 4.3L in it. I know you\'ve probably heard this,DON\'T use O/D when pulling anything over about 500lbs. LOL Blow that tranny rite out if you do.

I use my 84 to tow with. I thinks the class hitcth I use with a \" reciever will hold 500lbs tounge weight and will tow @5000 lbs.

I tow a 18\' car trailor. weighs @ 1000lbs

plus 3500bls for the car on top of it. Trailer brake are SO IMPORTANT!!!

Well a 4.3/auto is a strong enough combo to do some good pulling, the problem is handling and braking with our weight of trucks. Might want to refer to your owners manual. I\'ve heard of them pulling twice the recommended weight which you may get away with on flat ground, but don\'t forget about stopping!

i think if you want to haul anything bigger than a small boat...id leave it up to the big boys. dont get me wrong but they just dont make the new ones like the old ones.lol
