you should be able to. it will just push the traction bars 2\" lower to the ground.

But won\'t the snubber be 2\" away from the spring also? I don\'t want the snubber that long.

the snubber will be in the same position as if you didn\'t have blocks. The traction bar attaches to the shock mounting plate. the more you lift the rearend from the plate which actually lowers the vehicle, the more of a chance it will scrap the road. With a 2 inch block you should not have a problem.

I\'m in the process of making a set myself for my 85 short box. I\'ll forward the completed plans to you by next week. It doesn\'t look to be a very big job, and can be done for less than $20.

OK I had a brain fart. For some reason I was thinking that the lowering block would go under the spring http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif all that would do is lower the traction bar.

These are kind of what I have in mind.

I have the Lakewood bars for the s-series and they work and fit good. If you are going to build your own make sure the snubber hits on the front spring eye. If it doesn\'t it can cause some inconsistency in your launch and make it kinda squirrly.

those traction bars look like they would work great for a full size truck. f/s trucks have the axle under the leaf spring as S-10s have the axle over the spring. so they wouldn\'t work on the S body because the U shape in those bars slip over the axle then clamp to the spring.
