I am rebuilding my 350 and I am wanting to install a 2200-6200 range cam. What is the minimum size stall converter I need for my t350 tranny? Thanks http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

i\'d get a 11 inch converter, it stalls at about 2200 to 2500. Hughes makes one for $175.

get the same rpm stall as your cam so when you nail it the cam is in its rpm range

So basically if the stall converter works up to 2200 rmp and the cam operated from 2000-6000 rpm then I have the right stall converter? http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

SAY GO KEY WORD TCI CONVERTERS THEY WILL HELP YOU . YOU GIVE THEM INFO ON CAM , MOTOR WEIGHT OF TRUCK. GEARS ETC. THEY WILL COME UP WITH BEST APLICATION THAT IS WHAT I DID.

you havge to remember.. .the less torque your motor makes down low the higher the stall will actually be....
for example... the stall in my freinds 67 ford half ton with his stock chevy vortec with intake and 650 holly he put a 2500 stall and with good brakes he can bring it up to about 3100 rpm... so the stall\'s aren;t always what the advertise....
but i\'d say go with a 2200-2500 any higher than that and it gets hard to street drive the vehicle

hey whats this \"with good breaks \" stuff, i thought if you bought a conveter that was a 4500 stall, you could drive arround babbying it and stuff but if you stoped and hit it the conveter will flash up to your rpm (4500) and then go? am i wrong?or what

you can also go by the duration @.050 if it is at say 220-230 you should have a 2600-2800 minimum,i have a 2500 in my tahoe all day its purrfect,my cam is 210/222,it launches hard and consistant http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif
