guages and intrument panel

im bout to to the v8 conversion i have 91 which uses a computer, and do the guages run off of the computer or is it possible to still use the oil pressure gauge, gas, volt, and temp guage,. im converting to carb (non computer) 400sb

i might be wrong but i think you should be ok i think they used two different sensors for coolant temp one to computer and one to gauge and oil press shouldnt go to computer not sure on the alternator though

the atlernator should be work too if ya don\'t hack the wires up.

so if i understand correctly none of the guages are ran by computer except speed?

gas guage is the only one that would work on mine when it was done...and it\'s a 91 also.

my volts guage worked but none others. the oil pressure guage had a few wires that went to the computer so i ripped those out. the speedo is electric and the TH350 is cable. i just put in autometer guages anyways. those are more accurate than the stock ones.
