has anyone ever used the vortech centrifical supercharger. I believe it is the v-1 s-trim. I was just curious as to what percent increase in power anyone has gotten with it. they claim 35 to 75% increases in horse power.

The carbed one they offer for sbcs\' won\'t fit inside the engine compartment. Bracket pushes the blower too far towards the fender, and its too tall.

Procharger has carbed kits, not too expensive either. Will fit fine if your not running PS.

On their base supecharger, on a 400 hp 350, they were seeing hp gains in the 200 range, on pump gas.

if the bracket pushes it too far toward the fender...could you modify the bracket...and if so the tallness wouldnt be a factor if I were to get a cowl induction hood...Does this sound do-able. If no, does the procharger kit sit off to the side as the vortech supercharger does?

Its going to be tight. You will have to do alot of custom fab work, but with time and patients you can make any thing work.

I believe that the vortech is a cast peice of aluminum. Not like you can just cut and shorten it or anything.

Its tall, off to the side. A cowl hood wouldn\'t work for more clearance.

The procharger kit works off the side like the vortech. I took measurements for the P1SC brackets. Running the JTR motor mounts, everything would fit fine, less the power steering.

Hairdryer has pics of a procharger set up on his truck. I think that P1SC kit is also like $2200, compared to 3K+ for the vortech carb kit.
