Ok boys and girls, this one has me stumped. MY truck misses like a bitch wether it is hot or cold, but if i drive it for about an hour it clears up and runs great. Last weekend when i went to the track, it ran like shit all the way there and when i got there i shut it off and started it back up and it ran great, now i\'m think its the cap, but i have never experienced a cracked cap that didn\'t miss all the time. And it wasn\'t raining out when it does this either. anybody have a idea?

have you checked compression,or for vacumm leaks and the likes. have you been able to find which cylinder(s) are missing?

what rpm is it missing at, if its at like just idilig you should be able to take off 1 individual spark plug at a time while it is running, and see what significant change there is between each one, but first i would check the spark plugs, if at all id advance or retard my timing

Perhaps some kind of moisture problems?
When it heats up good, the moisture evaporates?
Perhaps some gap too great?
When heated up, metal/parts grow and gap decreases.
Perhaps some damn gremlin ya wanna choke!
sounds like a choke problem to me

it misses at higher rpm\'s only does it under load. I\'ve tried the plug thing, they all look good. Choke\'s open and not hanging up. I believe it might be a moisture thing. Damn thing, its like a never ending war. But one i will eventually win....lol. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif

i\'d check plug\'s gap and heat range... ect.. and maybe get a good set of plug wires.. they make a huge difference... plese don\'t get accel\'s they blow large amounts of goats... it also could be a carb problem... i know the choke on my carb sticks sometimes and it just get\'s gutless as hell cuz the secondaries don\'t oepn and it almost seems like it is missing
