Anyone have experience with line locks? Summit sells them for less than 30 bucks and I\'ve been tempted to install one. I\'m just curious as to how exactly they work and how hard they are to install. I\'d assume it has some adapter that connects to just the front hydraulic brake lines that seperates them from the rear, but how to you activate it? A button or something? Would appreciate any info.. thanks http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif

i think the way they work is you apply the pressure, then you set the lock.
thats all i know http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_frown.gif

The line lock is a small box with an in, and out hydr. port and 2 wires (red/black) you take the line that goes from the prop. valve to the T block for the front brakes and install the line lock there.. whether you decide to cut the line and insert the line lock and make your own ends or just take the line out of the prop. valve and adapt it into your line lock. and the other end will go to the T-block for the front brakes. (I hope this making sense.. its getting late.) Anyway the red wire will go to a button, and the black will go to ground. THen your buttons OTHER terminal will go to constant power.. usually they recommend a push button rather than a toggle so u dont forget to turn it off!! All the line lock does it keep pressure on the front brakes.. you press the brakes down... hold the button.. and take your foot off the brake.. lite em up.. and when yer done.. take yer finger off the button.
