just out of couriosity how difficult would it be to convert a 91 s10 2wd to AWD? Would I need to get the front end assembly from a 4wd s-10 then find a transfer case from a bravada or astro van AWD? and if so, would the transfer case fit up to a T-56 speed? PLease help me....traction is killing me. All my friends with nice cars leave me off the line because of this factor.

Frames are different between a 4wd/awd and 2wd. Not gonna be an easy swap.
Sounds like you need to invest in a few things. Like better/wider tires. Good set of shocks, and some traction bars. Like some slidealinks or Caltracs.
Most of all, learn to drive.

i just bought nice shocks. already have traction bars and i am running firehawk 245 50 16 tires. All the factors you suggested are there... and trust me i can drive. Its just i would like to take of the line without burning out my clutch and having to feather it...I want to be able to stomp it and go and not have to worry about traction.

Well, like ZZ4 said the frames are completely different between 2WD and 4WD/AWD frames.
If you\'re real worried about getting beat off the line, then consentrate on the middle and end of the race. You should be able to take them there. LOL
