http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif I am looking at doing a parts build-up that will lead to doing a v-8 con proj. on my 87 s10 blazer 4x4. Prior to the s10, I owned a full size 4x4blazer of the same year. When I had to junk the f/s blazer, I first parted out \"everything\" I could, b4 hauling the remnants away. I saved everything but but body and frame (I originally just dumped the body, but the city inspector cited me for having the frame/engine/etc. just sitting in my yard covered), anyway, I still have the engine/driveline/spring suspension/steeringbox/complete wire harness/33gal gas tank. My question is this: \"Can all of this stuff be adapted to the s-10 4x4 blazer that I now own?\" \"Is it worth it (the effort?)

MAn, you are talking about a major undertaking, I know you can use the tranny, enginem and transfer case you will just have to redo the mounts of both, the cross member might be in your way. What I am doing is taking my 85 S10 body off and putting it ona K5 blazer frame so that I can have a straight axle as well as use the larger tank with out a lot of mods, and also gives me a good lift to start with, it is also easier to find lifts for these. and it also gives me the chance to use bigger axles, which are stronger

I also picked up a 77 suburban frame to do a swap with. i abviiously have to shorten the frame to fit my blazer but its all good.
