I have an 88 S-10 that I will be putting a 350 in that made a 70 Nova (with street tires and it was basically stock escept for lowering springs) run consistent high 13\'s and low 14\'s. The truck would have a posi in it, 3.55 gears, and 15x8 wheels with street tires. I know there are LOTS of things that could make it run different times but I just want an estimate of how fast you guys think it would run. And the time you tell lmk if you are giving that time with lots of wheel spin added in. BTW both nova and s10 has automatics with shift kits.

well i\'m no rocket scientist but i was told and i calculated it out on an online 1/4 mile caluculator that if you had about 300hp you could run 13\'s and thats with traction of course with a good start and everything else in your favor. that is what my goal is because around here on the street 13\'s is pretty damn fast. hope this gives you an idea

I had a mild 350 in my truck to start with, and it ran 15.0@94.6mph(3600ft elevation) on slicks. That is getting a good launch on a 2200 stall , 4:10 gears and a built up TH-350. What is your elevaion? And Poolhusler8, i know of a guy that is running 13.24 @3600ft elev. and he only put down 252hp to the wheels. As he would say \"you dont need power to go fast, just good suspension\" BTW his car ran 11.99 last week on a 150 shot. He\'s right, you dont need alot of power just good suspension.PERIOD
