remote oil filter

On the 4x4,the oil filter is remote,placing the filter on the fender,the other end(the cap)goes on the block.this end does not fit my block,the bolts to mount this cap on my block are farther apart.Do I have a machinest make another cap,or does someone have my cure.

if you got to a checker or anyparts store or speed shop, they sell a universal adapter that you run yourself which is easier than the 4x4, and has better lines that are not molded together. this eliminates the orings that leak so commonly on those and is overall much easier. i think permacool makes it but dont quote me on that.
