Hey guys my moms cavalier broke down and we got it towed to the dealership and they said it was a fuel pump and relay that needed to be replaced. so we towed it home and did the work our selfs. to make a long story short. when i put the key to \"on\" you can hear the pump turn on for a sec like it is supposed to, but the engine wont fire. it just turns and turns. BUt i got it to run with starter fluid. So there is still no fuel going to the engine. What is wrong with it? I replaced the fuel pump relay. i want to know if i have to get a computer to clear the codes or something, or if there is a safety switch i dont now about. it seems as if the injecters aren\'t letting fuel bet bye. any help will be greatly appreciated

do a presure test...those injestion need a lot of presure to work...just cause its a new pump dont mean any thing...may be a cloged fuel filter

I would have to agree with 454 that the fuel filter is probably clogged. Those engines need 45-50 psi to run. I have had this happen to me a couple of times and it can cause an engine to not start. I\'m not sure if Cavaliers have it or not,but check to see if there is a fuse for the injectors. Sounds crazy but some GM\'s do and they won\'t start if it\'s blown.
