Speedometer cable

Hey guys,

i have a 1987 s10 blazer 4x4 with a 355 and a 700r4.

I recently had the tranny rebuilt and now my speedometer is acting all crazy.

I followed the cable to the back of the transfer case and noticed its attached loosely to the T-case.

How tight is this cable supposed to be attached to the T-case?

Also do i just need to tighten it up or is there something i have to make sure that lines up right or what?

I need to get this fix cause i have no idea how fast im going and im not putting on any miles on my odometer, which i dont mind but it is illegal so i need some help!

it should be pretty snug in there try tighting it and if that doesnt seem to chang e it and it happened right after they rebiult it id have the shop look at it maybe they forgot something good luck
