For those who used the vette radiator, what did you use to mount it?

I used small \"L\" brackets up top and flat bar on the bottom, mine is in the forward position.

I also lined all the egdes that would be metal to metal with hose.

I also cut a access hole for my filler cap in the core support.

I mounted the radiator to the support with a couple of bolts and nuts. I also placed pieces of rubber around areas that might be metal to metal. I like the idea of a hose to cover more area.

Mine fit fine in the existing place of the old one. Same size.

I cut the top support out of the radiator/grill support which let me move the rad all the way forward in the support. I padded it with hose material. There still wasn\'t much room...a Taurus fan barely fits.

I used the factory fan shroud assy out of my 2.8, but I had to cut it back so only the mounting points on the top and bottom were left.. It works awesome. And I run my fan on the outside because I went with a long pump setup..

I use a 2.8 shroud mounted upsidedown it is offset to pass side slightly and set in the forward position I use a flexalite 400 series16 inch engine driven fan with goodyear 61092 and 61460 hoses. The vette rad fits perfectly in this shroud http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif

Cut the top of the rad support the width of the rad. L brackets top and bottom with rubber pads. Now I want to fabricate some metal to cover the top of the rad.

modified the core support to mount it in the foreward position, then welded up a set of upper mounts like the ones JTR sells.
