View Full Version : Anyone using a aftermarket speedometer?
I am going to start doing some work on my truck and wanted to get an accurate speedometer, I am thinking of going with a digital aftermarket one, but have no idea what to get. I have a 82 s10 with the th350 trans, it\'s all mechanical now.

I made a custom panel with autometer phantom gauges. Theres a pic in the gallery of it. Kinda sux because it\'s a mechanical speedo and now that I am swapping in a NV3500 I have to get a electronic unit.

The phantom gauges look very very cool at night, my friends got them in his fullsize. I wouldnt bother with switching from a mechanical. they are just as accurate and much less $$. I think you gotta change the tail housing and put on that 40tooth ring, and then find a vss. Pretty sure about that.
