I\'ve found out that with hotrodding, your going to get so many mixed responses from everyone you talk to, its frustrating as hell. So here goes.. My uncle gave me a set of heads.. it is his word that they are 350 h.o. police interceptor heads with 64cc chambers. The casting number on them is 14102193. all i can find is they are 87-up 305/350 heads. I asked a gentleman on here about this, he\'s saying they are 76cc heads. I found this thread (http://www.hotrodders.com/t34236-15-2.html) through google. theres a big difference between performance of 76\'s and 64\'s, and damn i\'d sure like to know what they are for certain. Anything here appreciated.

A friend lent me a book called IDing chevy engines. I photo copied some of the info. I did copy that info, I\'m not sure if has has info that \'new\' though. I have it at my job, I\'ll bring it home tommorow & get back to you. Space.

The 141102193 is a 76 cc chamber Trust me I checked the speed pro book, and just to make sure the AERA book, it confirms this 1989 76 cc heads for sure, your uncle was a little confused.

mortec.com didn\'t have much more on them than you already know...except they added 1.94\" / 1.5\" valves.

well not necessarily \"police interceptor\", but i\'m thinking they are the heads they\'re talking about on that thread i have a link to up top. a chevy caprice cop car engine. the one guy said he cc\'d them and they were 64cc\'s.

The only COP cars that I can think of that might have the 64cc heads would be the ones that got the LT1 engines. Those also would be alloy heads. I looked here at work and that casting # came up to be off of mainly trucks and some full size GM\'s.

whats the story on the 91-93 9C1 caprice cop car engines they\'re talking about on there?

Also, if i look at these heads next to an old 882 head, can I physically see the 12cc difference, if it exists?

The 91-93 police cars had stock 350 TBI engines with minor retuning, but nothing noticeable. The 305 TBI\'s were rated at 170hp in a Caprice, and I think the 350 was rated at 190. The heads are good for about 250 hp with other upgrades, but a good aftermarket head would add an easy 50hp. The 94-96 police Caprice was basically an Impala SS, 260hp LT1, true duals, etc., but with HD engine/trans/ and I believe even power steering cooling.

I have heads off of an \'87 Caprice police car and they have 76cc chambers and 1.94\"/1.50\" valves.

I found it. The info I have covers 57 to 84. Sorry nothing newer. I was going to post the info anyway but I can\'t seem to get a copy off the scanner that I can read on the comp. screen.

just get a set of vortec heads and be done with it already. By the time you have them redone (usually costing $250), you\'ll have half the price it would take to buy a set from Jegs.If you think I am kidding, the part# number is 809-12558060 at $259.99 each. You can read about the performance value of these heads in almost any magazine or book having an article about differant head designs. They fllloww gooooodd! Plus if you go to a you pull it lot, some times you can get these heads for about $75 (or less) a pop and have them redone and saveyou some dough.Oh by the way, unless you are going above I think 7500 rpm, you DON\'T need to do any porting, GM designed these bad boys to increase hp. by increasing flow and swirl.
