is this the right one <hr><img src="images/forum/ebaylink.gif"> I saw this on eBay motors: posi (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2474669936)<hr> and what vehichle can i get the axles from are the 2nd gen s10s the same length

Yes and yes. First and second gen are same length. Just remember 2wd is shortest, 4wd is 2 inches longer (each axle) and ZR2 is another two on each axle. Find out how many spline that posi is (26 is 7.5 and 28 is 7.625). The housings fit either.

If that posi came from a \'96 Z-28, it\'s for 28 spline axles. Another thing about the ZR2 trucks is that they\'re 8.5\" rear ends, not 7.5/7.625. I bought the Zexel posi from SLP for my \'85 s-10 and got axles from a low-mile rear axle from a \'95 2wd s-10. It works great - way better than the stock locker in my \'98 Sonoma.

That looks to be a Eaton style clutch posi. Like previously stated, it should be 28 spline if the info is correct. You would need 1989 and later S10 axles with 28 spline for this to fit.
