Thanks.

I have the factory wiring manual for that truck, what do you need to know? I can scan the page and email it to you. also auto or manual? 4cyl or 6cyl?

there are like three or four thick red wires that come off the junction box. they are for ign, power windows and all that shit. a pink think wire is for you coil. and the thick purple wire is for your starter. if the old wiring harness isnt destroyed you shouldnt have a problem. get a manual for help, its easy.

you need 4 wires, 2 for the alternator, one for ingition and one for starter.
well guys and gals, we go thru this question at least once a month. Here we go again: most of the original harness you reuse (you can tape up nicely what you don\'t use temporarily until your certain you are 100% finished with the wiring), old sending unit wires(use your original senders out of original engine for dash to work), + wire from original coil goes to bat terminal on HEI, old starter wiring remains the same,if you have the brackets and alt from the 4.3l(if that is what you had originally) stay the same. If running carb and a mechanical pump, drop tank and remove original pump and install a small peice of tubing for the down spout.Don\'t forget to have enough to make a \"L\" shape and kick up the bottom bend a little off of tank so you won\'t pickup all the trash. Let us know more specifcally what you are running so we can give you more of an exact answer.
