HAS ANYONE DONE THIS AND USED THE V6 COMPUTER WITH JUST A CHIP CHANGE FOR V8? DOES IT OR WILL IT WORK? THE ENGINE STARTS AND RUNS, BUT CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FLASHES EXTREMELY FAST, NOT YOUR TYPICAL CODE TYPE FLASHING EITHER. THIS IS MORE OF A FLICKER.

You don\'t have to change the computer. I ran my modified 350 with a 4.3 chip and computer and it was a low 13 truck. I used an adjustable map sensor and thats all. TBI computers basically only control the Air/Fuel ratio mainly through the O2 sensor, and the desired ratio is the same for most engines. Mine idle great, passed emissions, and made great power. I did have a chip made, but it made no difference, and I ended up removing it.

Where\'d you get the adjustable map sensor and how much was it?

I bought it from Turbo City, I can\'t remember the cost though, but Im sure its on their site. It made a very noticeable difference.

Never mind I found a previous post you made to me about it. Do you happen to still have that adjustable map sensor?

Yeah, its on a friends car, but I can get it back if you are interested. Its on a electronic Q-jetted Monte SS running 12.9, and passes emmisions.
